Small Wedding Venues in Leicestershire That We Love

The thing we absolutely love about a small wedding is the intimacy of it all. Just knowing that you’re surrounded by the people who are the very closest to you can make it all the more special.

If you’re planning a wedding that’s on the smaller side, then it’s important to find the place that’s right for you. As such, we’ve put together a list of the small wedding venues in Leicestershire that we love the most to give you a helping hand.

Our Top 5 Small Wedding Venues In Leicestershire

1. The Old Cow Shed

If rustic charm is your thing, then The Old Cow Shed in Melton Mowbray has it in abundance. The great thing about this stunner of a wedding venue is that it comes with bags of class. The venue is located in a beautiful old shed which can seat up to 66 people (Fig. 1). Or, if you like the thought of bringing the outdoors in, then you can change it up to an atmospheric courtyard setting with a marquee roof and open sides to cater for up to 120 people (Fig. 2). The sheer simplistic beauty of this place needs to be seen to be truly appreciated and we absolutely love it!

2. Sutton Bonington Hall

When it comes to small wedding venues in Leicestershire, this enchanting country house and beautifully manicured gardens (Fig. 3) located right in the heart of the East Midlands, close to the borders of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, is well worth a visit. Delightfully furnished and tastefully decorated, Sutton Bonington Hall can be exclusively yours to enjoy with just friends and family. A wonderfully elegant way (Fig. 4) to celebrate the very best day of your life.

3. Cranford Hall

If we’re being super strict, then this shouldn’t technically be on the list of small wedding venues in Leicestershire, because Cranford Hall is in Kettering, which is just over the border into Northamptonshire. However, we love it so much that we’re making an exception. This stunning Georgian mansion house (Fig. 5) only hosts a small selection of weddings per year and each one is always a one-off occasion, so if you’re looking to impress, then this is definitely the way to do it.

4. Dodmoor House

It’s clear to see why our clients, Anna and David, looked so happy in the images from their winter Dodmoor House wedding – what a magical occasion it was! One which was helped in no small part by this beautiful setting, again which is on the border of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. Being one of the nicest small wedding venues around, these stunning barn weddings (Fig. 6) hosted at the delightful Dodmoor House, provide a relaxed and intimate atmosphere for you and your guests.
